Events & Demos Manager - Provisions

General Summary The Events & Demos Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of events and demos, as well as managing a calendar of consumer, trade and industry events. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, exceptionally organized, and hands-on, and is experienced with presenting food and creating unique, engaging event footprints. Essential Job Functions Evaluate and vet key event opportunities in consumer, retail, trade, and B2B event spaces. Create calendar of events to align with sales and marketing goals. Collaborate with Patagonia Retail on in-store events & demo calendar. Develop and maintain in-store demo program footprint, including demo kits, supplies and training materials. Create and manage protocols for preparing and serving Provisions in a range of settings. Work with visual design team to create booths and develop eventexperience. Create event plans with detailed documentation of event logistics. Manage staff at events to ensure strong event execution and food presentation. Manage budgets for individual events and assure events are within pre-determined budgets. Track and report on ROI for events and demos, ongoing. Other Job Functions Work with Sales to align demo program with sales promotion calendars. Work with marketing and event contacts at Provisions dealers to support store event and demo calendars Create training manual for demo program. Develop on-going talking points for demos specific to each SKU. Provide mentorship for field sales team members supporting demos. Train Ambassadors to serve and speak about Provisions in a range of settings. Train and mentor Patagonia retail staff to conduct in-store demos and educate consumers on Provisions products. Oversee development and ongoing evolution of Provisions look and feel at events. Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time. Ability to maintain a composed and professional demeanor within a flexible (and at times noisy) work environment. Minimum Job Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience in events and/or demos. Must be detail-oriented with strong planning abilities. Able to create and document plans and communicate these to others in a fast-paced environment. Experience serving, preparing, and/or marketing food. Understanding of visual branding in an event space. Flexible and able to adapt quickly to change.   Strong inter-personal skills, with an ability to communicate and work well with a range of people. Able to be attentive to details while still being mindful of strategic objectives. Preferred Job Qualifications Direct knowledge of organic and natural food industry. Experience in retail environment, including natural and outdoor industries. Experience working withtrade shows and executing trade show booths. Experience creating in-store demo programs. Food handling experience. Experience managing people and/or consultants. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
