Child and Family Facilitator

Overview
This role holds the responsibility of serving as a facilitator for families involved with Marin County Children and Family Services (CFS). The facilitator will hold the responsibility of leading Child and Family Team (CFT) Meetings, using the values of the wraparound model (family-centered, individualized, strengths-based and outcome focused) in partnership with the County CFT regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities
Understand and apply the principles of Wraparound and the Child and Family Team meeting processes
Join with the child/youth and family to identify and engage potential team members
Collaborate closely with CFS Social Workers and Supervisors.
Work with Social Workers to schedule CFT meetings at the location, dates, and times that are most convenient for the family
Facilitate family-centered meetings
Participate as a collaborative and positive member of the Marin Sustaining Families program (attend required trainings, meetings, supervision)
Participate in county CFS meetings as needed
Produce and distribute CFT Action Plans to all team members
Complete any necessary County documentation
Attend trainings related to Family Finding and apply findings from research on Family Finding best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Master's Degree in Social Work/Psychology/Counseling preferred
At least 3 years' experience in the mental health field
Must have demonstrated competence, reliability, and good writing skills in clinical documentation.
Demonstrated competence in the skill areas of positive client engagement, communication and an understanding of the challenges that families involved in the Child Welfare and may be experiencing.
Experience working with a diverse population.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Willing and able to work flexible hours
Own Vehicle, Valid California Driver's License and Insurance
Obtain and maintain fingerprint clearances with the DOJ, FBI and Child Abuse Central Index

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
